  8. I haven't done this in quite awhile.

  10. Things have changed so much in the last month. The girl
  11. I wanted so badly to like me in return does, yet I am not
  12. satisfied. The girl I was so marvelously infatuated with
  13. does not even bring a smile to my face any longer. I don't
  14. really seem to need any female support to keep me upright.
  15. Seems like these days I feel like I'm fading away.

  17. Maybe I am afraid that I don't want to develop a relationship
  18. with someone I really care about because I will lose them
  19. next year when I attend Western Reserve Academy. It really
  20. is quite scary. I'll be separated from everyone and everything
  21. that I love. I don't know why that scares me so much. I
  22. really don't care about too many people.
  23.  
  24. I feel like a shadow in my own world. Relationships that
  25. used to prosper are down in the doldrums. Girlfriends of
  26. the former have gone straight, renounced their cyberpunk
  27. garb. They have became the uniform straights that inherit
  28. the Earth. I spoke with them today. I was nearly overwhelmed
  29. by the immensity of their minds that had been shattered and
  30. disillusioned by perhaps the commercialism or perhaps the
  31. competition that has arisen on the Internet. It's just all
  32. a dark cloud of evil and betrayal, lies, and corporate denial.

  34. I lost someone else that I very much enjoyed my friendship
  35. with for another stupid error. Just had to use my idiocy to
  36. break up another great relationship. Had to insult one of
  37. those whose personality I very much enjoyed, and whom hates
  38. my guts savagely now. Not much I can do about it. There
  39. probably is, I'm just too lazy. Maybe.

  41. I just spoke to my grandfather that lives out in Colorado.
  42. I tried to humor him a bit. Sometimes I feel that elders
  43. of the society feel a bit downtrodden and downcast in
  44. today's world of technology and information. The gods and
  45. contemporary values that they modeled their lives after
  46. are by day being destructed by the malefactors of society.
  47. Sometimes I wish I lived in a simple era. Something like
  48. the thirties. Maybe the economy was slow, but the heartbreak
  49. and turmoil in lives was so much less. I'm not sure how I
  50. know this. I'm not sure really.. about anything.

  52. Leave me alone. That's what I want to say alot of
  53. the time to everyone. I wake up and I'm fucking tired.
  54. But I drag myself out of a hellacious nights sleep and
  55. throw myself into some clothes and make a dash out of
  56. the door trying to make it to the clang of a bell. I'm
  57. a trained negro, in the words of Ice Cube. And hell, I'm
  58. not even black. I guess I am special.

  60. I also understand that I have accomplished much. I
  61. see that I have had many things to be proud of this
  62. year. Constantly I try to renew my interests in a variety
  63. of subjects and to keep abreast of developments that are
  64. under way in all aspects of my life. I invested in a book
  65. on organizing my personal life. Works pretty well. Seems
  66. like it'd work. Lots of things seem that way. It'll take
  67. time to put the theory into practice. Proactivity is a 
  68. tough course to take, and tougher one to pass.

  70. "She's tired and lonely, scared and depressed." Yup.
  71. She keeps losing the one's she loved too. I remember
  72. the days the two of us were together. But now it seems
  73. like every tie I had to her is severed and lost in the
  74. cybernetic void that is the Internet. Her boyfriend is
  75. being investigated, seems like he's taking the path of
  76. outlawish tactics, much like the others she so cleverly
  77. manipulated into loving her. She still brings a smile
  78. to my face.

  80. This girl that likes me says she is going to commit
  81. suicide. She has the perfect life. I tell her she is
  82. fucking stupid. Maybe I contribute to her apathy for
  83. herself. I don't even care.

  85. I want to go back to the way things were but I want to
  86. go on as well. I want to put the skeletons of the former
  87. me far away. Never to be found.
